Vista Home Premium.
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState
and
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState Sleep
both previously supplied to me via forum do not seem to work correctly.
Have Logitech EX110 which has NO sleep button, nope, no sleep button!
The above listed commands cause the computer to more power down with no
power light left on at all requiring using the power button only to
awaken the computer. But Windows does resume when I re-power the
computer using teh power button.
The sleep which I wish to create leaves the amber light on the
computer, and awakes from my movement of the mouse or keyboard.
To wake the computer from the above suggested commands requires use of
the power button rather than moving the mouse, for example.
These commands cause the power light to go off altogether.
I wish to create a shortcut that mimics the sleep command that is
created from the start button on Windows (amber light on power), to use
as the hot button command.
Right clicking on that "Sleep" only gives me a message about the sleep
function and not the properties from which to copy.
Please be as detailed as possible.
Thanks in advance,
Robert.
