I have a very corrupt version of Windows Live Messenger on a 32 bit XP pro
system. It started as a virus that I was able to get rid of. Everything but
meesenger works fine. When I attempted to uninstall it the system reported
that the files do not exist. When I try to reload it the system reports that
I already have it. I looked on the C drive and all but three files are
missing from the Messenger folder. When I try to delete that folder it tells
me the remaining files are in use. I am at wits end here and really do not
want to wipe the machine and start over. Anyone with any ideas I would really
appreciate it....Thanks!!

it started yesterday morning at 11:30. no upgrades no third party stuff
Version: Windows live latest I believe since i only downloaded it and
installed it the week before. Vista (I hate it) only one but i didn't think
WoW would mess with the window messenger

the font isn't white it purple like i always have it. and I tryed changing
the font.

the only thing that show up is

*_________

*__________

and if you click the top line you get the history and if you highlight in
between the lines you get staggered blue marks like this

l

l

l

l

the lines aren't visible but space is highlighted like they are there.

Handwriting messages is fine though (but it is to hard to have a
conversation that)
