Hello guys.

I am having problems finding the all-in-one video codec that would support
several video file formats and that be compatible with my Windows Vista
Ultimate 32bit. Some video codecs like Storm Codec is incompatible as it will
let Vista Ultimate run under Vista Home Basic Color Scheme temporarily while
the video is playing.

Can you recommend any downloadable freeware video codec? I would really
appreciate the replies.

Many Thanks.

32bit for vista/xp
You may DOWNLOAD version 4.5.0 from one of these hosting services
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5326
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1159994557/1
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multime...-Package.shtml

64bit for vista/xp
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5535
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1159994557/2
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multime...mponents.shtml

I'm not one to give direct to file download link
as many providers use dynamic redirection (shift locations).

download the file (about 20mb) then uninstall any
quicktime/realtime/other codec packages you may have
that were done after installing vista/xp...reboot...
now install this package and almost everything works.
A dvd player may be needed for some movies and recent video drivers.

One other thing, I have a feeling that by installing some of
these codec packs I have picked up an annoying piece of
Malware that adds a cream coloured line at the top of IE7
telling em I have a spyware - malware problem....
