      02-18-2008
I bought a game that needs DirectX 9.0c or higher. When I tried to download
DirectX 10, it says that an internal error occured and that i should check
the DXError.log, or something. someone please help!!!

Does your Video Card support Directx 10?

Presumably you're running Vista.

it does, but now when i try to install 9.0c, it says it cant find the
database!! can anyone tell me where it is and how i fix the problem

Did you check the log file as mentioned in your original post?

if you have this line "Unable to get RC string" in your directx.lo
file then create a string in your registry with a value 4.09.00.0904 an
name with "Version" unde
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectX.
after I did this , problem solve
