Need help with folder options please

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help, I'm using Vista and quit
familiar with it already but it is giving me some trouble. It may b
just machine but maybe someone has experienced same problem and can hel
me.

I am having difficulties changing folder options? it sounds strange bu
its true. For example, I want to view file extentions, but when i go
Tools, Folder Options, View and Advance settings, i UNCHECK the box fo
Hide Extention files, but for some reasons nothing changes?

Can anyone help? is there some settings i've got that wont allow me t
change settings??
