what is Windows Genuine Advantage ?
I am trying to check for updates here and this popped up
I do not have this software what is going on ?
it says Validation Failure: The operating system on your PC does not appear
to be genuine.
I have Windows xp home
Is there anyway I can reinstall my windows xp home ?
I am having major problems here

How could someone pirate XP Home? it's the Corp versions that the WGA is
targeting

From what I've seen, if I'm hearing you right, I'd have to disagree. I'm
getting validation requirements (and problems) on all versions of XP from
Home to Pro, COrporate to non, OEM to retail to Dell to HP ...

But your problem is totally different, you may be using a image that has
been install on several computers of the same configure by the OEM's like
Dell and HP.

Actually we get a new WinXP along with all other parts we order to build the
machine, install XP, do the updates and drivers, slap the cd key sticker on
the case, give the customer the CD. So no, no OS disks are lying around to
ever be used two or more times.
