Need help installing connector

Getting the following error on 2 computers. Tried the suggestion below but
connector is still not installing.

The version of the Connector software does not match the version of Windows
Home Server. Make sure you are installing the correct version of the
Connector software.

On your home computer, delete the %ProgramFiles%\Windows Home Server folder
if it exists.

Then install the Connector software from the Software shared folder on your
home server, rather than from the CD. (Perhaps you have an old CD.) Connect
to \\YourServerName\Software\ Home Server Connector Software, and then run
Setup.exe.

You are using the software with the wrong OS

It would be better to ask this in
http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsH...aspx?SiteID=50
you probably should say what OS the computers are running.

I don't remember having this problem when I upgraded from the Beta to WHS
RTM.

Hi Philo,
Please clarify what you mean? I use the software on my Windows Home
server shared folder. I tried it on both a Windows XP & Vista PCs and still
get an error.

The error message you posted implies that the software you have must be
installed
on a machine running "Windows Home Server".

It appears that the machine you are using is running either Vista or XP.

This is Windows Home Server

The Connector software is installed on a Vista or XP computer to connect to
the Home Server computer so you can perform backups to it.

The Home Server has some standard folders shared, and the Connector software
is available to be installed on the clients from there.
