I down loaded Window vista ultimate from MSDN website. 5 ISO files (CD1-CD5).
what is the best way to install it? do I need to extract the files using
isobuster into 5 separate folders (one folder for each cd), then burn the
each folder on to a cd?
Can someone help

Hello Al,

With your burning software create a cd from the .iso file directly.

Best regards

As said before, use your burning software to 'burn image' and use the .iso
files directly.

Didn't they have a single .iso file for burning onto a DVD? That would be
much hassle to use when installing Vista.

Hello Synapse,

You're right, it also is available as DVD version.

Best regards

The ISO is just an image. Then when you burn the image using the
appropriate software, it converts the image to the actual installation
files.

Remember not to burn the .iso files onto the CDs just as you would ordinary
files. You have to burn it as an image, otherwise it will not work. I
remember doing that myself a long time ago.

If you say what burning software you have, somebody could tell you exactly
how to do it. I only know Nero.

Forget Nero. Use burncdcc. You absolutely can't go wrong.

Download from here:
