I'm sorry but this isn't enough information to give you focused
troubleshooting. Some things to answer/try:
1. The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?
2. The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the
malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what
programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?
3. If you start the computer in Safe Mode, does explorer.exe work
correctly? Do this by repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the computer is
starting up. This will get you to the right menu. Navigate using your Up
arrow key; the mouse will not work here. If your user account works
correctly in Safe Mode, then you know something loading in Regular Mode
is causing the error. Do a clean boot to try and determine the culprit.

4. If your user account doesn't work even in Safe Mode, does a different
user account work? If you don't have one, create a new user account and
test it.
5. Are there any clues in Problem Reports and Solutions and Event Viewer?
Start > All Programs > Maintenance > Problem Reports and Solutions >
View Problem History
Start>Search box>type: eventvwr.msc
