Need help opening a file.

I'm having trouble opening a file.

It's a xampp file, but when I go to open it a black box pops up and
disapears before I even get a chance to see what it says.

This is a pic of the files I'm having that problem with.
(Every file other than the text doc.)

Right click on it and choose open with then browse and open it in
notepad. It is a script, a web script and therefore windows runs it in
command window.

Why would you want to open that file ? Unless you are a web developer
and you know what you are doing editing such files do not open it. It's
nothing fancy in there.

I'm about a month into learning Joomla content manging system, and jus
before moving it over to an apache server. I made a login & password i
the sercuity area in admin/ xampp.

Anyways., something happened after I changed/made the new password, an
I can't get into my local server anymore. Someone over on the Jooml
boards has been trying to help me, and the answer is in one of the file
I couldn't open.

I'm new to the world of web development, and on a brand new computer.

I think I tried what you just said, but I'm going to try again

How do I find out exactly what o s came on my pc? I know It's
premium home addition or whatever, but 'm not sure if it's 32 or 64
