Not very techie, so bear with me.
Had to return my HP pc for repair.
Backed up my programs and files on Cd's
Now I'm trying to restore them.
Was able to retore 2 cd's, I have 17.

Number 3 cd said it was corrupt and with
#4 and got this message:

Windows not able to load the selected backup set for the followin
reason:

a valid backup does not exist at specified location
Choose a different location
(0x810000f2)

I am doing the restore on DVD RW drive (E

haven't tried any of the other remaining cd's/

Can anyone help me?

Thank you
Chri

Your problem is not with Vista, contact HP support for help with their
proprietary recovery system.

In the future, consider backing up documents to an external USB drive. It
will prove more reliable than backing up documents to CD or DVD's.

Thanks to Oscar's reply I realized mine is completely irrelevant as your not
using the HP recovery, so ignore it.

I would strongly suspect that you're screwed on this one.

By now it's probably evident that CDs are not the way to go should you
do a backup in the future.
