This is for XP, but it probably the same location in Vista. I cannot check

Change the port to 3390 on your computer, for example.
Then forward TCP Port 3390 from your router to your computer's internal IP
address.
Then you can connect remotely to your computer, but you need to now add the
non-default port into the address field in the RDP Client:
e.g Address: 86.142.36.52
Type in address field - "86.142.36.52:3390"
or "www:myhostname.com:3390"
If you get a hostname from no-ip.com you can actually have names fixed to
particular ports.
