Hello,

I am running W2K3-EE on two servers that are nodes in a cluster.
When I received the servers, there were several groups already created. I
deleted all except "Cluster Group". This group has the following resources:
Quorum Drive: Q:
IP Address: ....89.11
Network Name: Cluster

I don't know why, but the IP address is Failed.
The Network Name is offline.
Can't get either to come online.
The group cannot be moved.
Error Message:
An error occurred attempting to mvoe the 'Cluster Group' group.
A cluster node is not available for this operation.
Error ID: 5005 (0000138d).

The System event log posts the following every time I try to bring it online:
Event ID: 1069
Source: ClusSvc
Desc: Cluster resource "Cluster IP address" in Resource Group 'Cluster'
failed.

I would really like to delete all resources and the group but the Admin
console won't allow because these are core resources.

In the registry....
HKLM\Cluster exists with 7 sub keys

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ClusSvc exists with 3 sub keys(Enum,
Parameters, Security)

Can anyone advise on how to troubleshoot this, or how I can simply remove
All Groups and resources, and the cluster, again, so I can start creating
everything from scratch. If there is a way to basically just re-initialize
everything back to a brand new state, that would be fine also.

TIA,
DetRich

When I try and create new groups, any IP Address resource that I add always
ends up in a failed state. Other resources in the new group will not come
online. Application log has the following:

first usage after a cluster install. Please try to restart MS DTC. If the
problem persists please contact Microsoft Product Support. Error Specifics:

Hello DetRich,

Make sure that the cluster service is started on both nodes.

Check this articles, even it states 2000:

Hello Rich,

Check this one MSDTC Log Issues:
If you suspect an issue with the MSDTC log, you can flush any existing packets
in the MSDTC log by running the msdtc.exe -resetlog command.

Warning The msdtc -resetlog command is a dangerous operation; verify that
you do not have active transactions when you perform this operation.

Just evict the node to uninstall the cluster. Alternatively, you can run the
'cluster node /force' command to remove the cluster bits from a node.
