With tech support help on the phone from Microsoft, I installed MS Service
Pack II on 02-11-05. Today I received a pop-up notice that says, "High
Priority Updates", Microsoft Corp - Windows XP Family, Microsoft.NET
Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1". Does this mean I'm supposed to download SP I
update AFTER I've downloaded SP II? I called MS Tech Support, but after being
on hold awhile and then being transferred to another number, I got a recorded
message to "try again later". Can anyone here help? Thanks in advance for any
help.

No, and unless you have specific software or needs, you don't need that
update, .Net Framework.
To reassure yourself that you indeed have MS SP2 installed, right click My
Computer on your desktop. You will see which service pack you have
installed under the 'system' information.
