Describe what you are seeing in more detail.
Remember, your words have to substitute for what our eyes
might notice.
I suspect that you are getting a Work Offline / Try Again prompt?
That may indicate a problem with DSL software. Perhaps it isn't
compatible with XPsp2?

BTW this would not be the best newsgroup for diagnosing
and resolving such a problem. The information in that link I gave you
is quite old and I haven't kept track of more recent developments
in that area. There may be much better answers now.
