Hello,
I recently just formatted my computer and now when i use windows live
messenger, version 8.1, it signs off ever 5 mins or so. It is very
frustrating and i cant work out the problem.

Its not my connection, theres no other msn installed on my computer, its not
my account (it works on other computers), i just cant work out what it is.

Can anybody help? Thanks.

Hi unsaid,

Log into your Router's Settings. Make sure that the Time on your Router
is correct. Make sure that you configured the Router for Automatic Time
Configuration and you have selected a NTP Server. Save the settings or Apply
the settings. Log out and back into the Router's Settings and check the time
again.

If the time is wrong, it will cause problems with Instant Messengers.

Is this some kind of strange joke? I had to turn off the automatic time
sync in my Dl-624 because it crashed every hour when it tried to sync,
right now the time in the router is set to Apr/10/2002 10:41:11, still
messenger works like a charm.
