i have a PCI G wireless card in my desktop with Vista Home Basic and it
keeps dropping my wireless connection or it gets a weak signal. I'm onl
about 20 ft from the router. However, it sometimes picks up my neighbor
network.
Anyone out there can recommend either a USB or another PCI card tha
has Vista drivers and works with a Linksys N router
thanking you in advance

Try using a different channel that your router broadcasts on.

Go into the router's home page (usually at http://192.168.1.1). IIRC,
the default user name is blank and the password is "password".

On the Wireless page, change the "channel". Choose 1, 6, or 11. Note
that when you click "Save Settings" that you will be disconnected
since you just changed the channel you were hooked up on. So, when the
browser give you an error, it's OK to ignore it. The only way to see a
"successful" page is to do it from a hard wired system.

Reboot, or if you are up for it, disable/enable the wireless card in
Device Manager.

See how it works after that.
