It appears this newsgroup is no longer the place to seek useful answers to
Vista questions. Could someone suggest another group that actually conducts
itself in a professional manner?

Thanks,
Roy

Search Microsoft.com and you'll find their moderated web forums,
although the usual answer will probably be "upgrade to Windows 7", aka
Vista Second Edition.

You've been appointed the new Ubuntu Marketing Rep, being as you bring
it up so much more than anyone else.

I think this newsgroup is fine. Simply use your kill filter to avoid
seeing messages from the unprofessional people here.

Yes there is. Vista is NT 6.0 and Windows "7", aka Vista Second Edition,
is NT 6.1.

New to computers, are ya? And, chum, Windows by any name smells just
like ****.

Not at all. Just editing your post to reflect the truth.

> Oops!...LOL!

What happened to what you used to do when you erroneously thought you
have "won"? You used to snort. I guess you don't want people to know
what a slimy pig you are.
