Perhaps this is the wrong newsgroup for getting information on the use of
a web cam - but, if it is, please point me in the right direction. I
can't find a newsgroup for webcams. Thanks.

This is the second group you're posting this in. Are you familiar with
Google? If not, LEARN!

I knew that Bob. How did you make out with the DVDRW problem?

Thanks for all the help, Michael. I finally figured out how to write on
the DVD and not close it out. I tried the DVD and it works. With the
DVD's properties, it still shows the DVD as completely full. However,
when you check it using Nero's burn software, you can see exactly how
much capacity you've used and how much free space you have.

Now, don't forget that I'm 12 years older than you - and don't forget
your signature!!!

Glad to hear you got that worked out. I owe you a bottle of Geritol.
What webcam are you thinking of getting?

Well, I have a built-in webcam and I have the Logitech Pro 5000 model.
The software that came with the laptop is called YouCam. It's 'OK', but
when I'm on Skype, YouCam pops up over my screen. I move it to the side,
but it just moves back over the screen. I shut it down, but it starts up
again. I like YouCam's features, but not its' obtrusiveness. So, I'm
looking for software that behaves decently. The Logitech Pro 5000 works
OK - but it doesn't have 'features' like YouCam. Yes, I have tried to
contact YouCam through their forum - but haven't received a response
(YouCam came with my laptop). The other thing is: a lot of controls are
'greyed out' on ANY of the software I use. I'd like to know why. I like
to have full control of all the webcam's controls (white balance,
brightness, gain, etc.). BTW, have a good day...........

Bob
