WINS will provide your two subnets the ability to browse between one
another. WINS shouldn't be needed for things such as AD or Exchange.
Easiest way to find out if there is going to be a problem is to stop the
service on the WINS server and see the fall out. My guess is you won't see
much of any change. With the exception of users being unable to browse to
certain resources.
