Need WORD Help Very Very Soon

I'm posting this at 1:30 EST, Sunday, September 14. I worked for six
hours on a document for a class, had the AutoSave and AutoRecover
feature of a trial version of WORD 2007 on a new laptop autosaving
every five minutes, and now the document is lost. Entirely lost. I've
tried every search form I can think of; I don't know where else to
search.

If anyone knows where any Temporary Files might cache six-hour-long
work that simply vanishes (after you Save it), I would appreciate
knowing where to try to find it.

As soon as possible. Thank you.

Suffering Jesus, thank you--so *far*. I get the document followed by
an .ASD, and when I try to open it, I get an error message that the
file type is unknown. Please tell me what to do. I'm begging.

In Word , click the Microsoft Office Button, click Open, click All Files *.*
in the Files of type box, locate and select the file, and then click Open

I don't understand; should I do something with operands? The default
drop-down in the Open Box *IS* "All Files"

Could you just tell me where I could get some help opening this, since
you absolutely helped me find it?

This is f'ing torture. I teach at Penn State, and I feel like throwing
up, because I need this for tomorrow.

How do you use the Text Recovery converter? I got the message to use
this because "an error occurred." Then in apostrophes there was (C:\...
\Autorecovery save of [title].asd)

I just did a recovery ... by killing Word 2007 during writing.

1...as soon as Word gets re-opened , it auto recovered.

2.By navigating to the .asd file...click to open, select program from list,
then use word also recovered it.

3.By using the above technique in my previous post.

Besides that, you could try an office or word forum.

I don't understand what you mean by "killing Word 2007 during writing."
