What is needed at start up?

Hi

Vista Home Premium 32bit-was running slow so I checked what was running
at start up. I got rid of some obvious ones but not sure what needs to
be left.

I tried to copy and paste the start up log but it won't allow me to do
it. I did some screen grabs into Word but it doesn't seem to attach
properly.

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Even some idea of the
type of thing I should not touch or types of thing I just don't need
....maybe Quicktime or Realplayer,

Thanks in anticipation
Sina

Ty for your kind words. Sometimes we get real busy at the forum, but w
always try to give prompt and accurate help. I hope that the informatio
that I provided you proves to be helpful. If you have any questions o
problems, just post and I or another member will try our best to mak
your visit, here, both enjoyable and beneficial

I would remove one item at a time and make a system restore point.
would use the computer, if you are sure you are happy with th
performance you can remove another; after making another restore point.
In this way you can always return to where you were before making th
last change

Hi Richard

Thank you so much for your help and advice. I did what you said and I
now have a zippy Vista. I don't know how people like me would manage
without people like yourself, so willing to help others. The
instructions were so clear too.

I am an administrator on a free forum too so I know how important it is
to say how much the help and support is appreciated.

Thanks again
Sina

I have helped many on this forum and feel satisfied and happy when
can resolve a question or a problem. You kind words, however, ar
giving me feelings of satisfaction that I have not felt for a long time
if ever. Thank you so muc

Please feel free to return to take advantage of our extensive tutoria
section or just to ask another question. All the best to you
