.Net 1.1 sp 1 install failure

When trying to install this update it fails with the following exception
message:

"An unhandled exception of type System.Reflection occurred in mscorlib.dll"

I tried both express and custom install and get the same error each time.
Any ideas?

That artcicle is refering to the .Net 1.1 installation which i already have
installed, with no problem. My problem is with the new sp 1 patch to 1.1
