Does the Hard Drive have more than one partition ? IOW, is %windir% on
another partition than Program Files is ?
The installation of .NET 1.1 SP1 may be storing the temp files on the
partition with the most space available and can't locate them.
If that's the case, suggest moving Program Files back to the same
partiton as %windir% and see if that allows SP1 to install.
