.net 2.0 framework install freezes

Trying to install .net 2.0 but the install freezes every time at the
following point

Executing :
"C\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\RegS vcs.exe/bootstrapi

I have to hard boot to get out and then my lappy runs at high load until I
manange to uninstall the remenants of the .net 2.0

Help !!

ld have also stated that the installer is

Registering System.EnterpriseServices.dll

when the below happens
