NET Framework 1.1 SP 1 Critical Update

Received update alert for Windows XP. Did the download. Still getting alert
to download critical update. The download file shows 0 bytes. What may be
going on here? NET Framework [any version] does not show up in the
Add/Remove listing but I believe there are some programs in which this is
used within their software package.
