Well, if that is the case how can I get around the following problem?
My Add and Remove Programs lists the following installed programs:
Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB886903)
Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0
Security fix for Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 (917283)
The problem is that Windows Update keeps telling me that High Priority
update (KB886903) fails to install. I first installed KB886903 many months
ago without problem. The problem arose last Tuesday when the new security
fixes were released. Now for some reason Microsoft Update wants to reinstall
it, but fails.
What do you think would happen if I tried to uninstall KB886903, then
reinstall? Would Windows Update recognize it?
