.NET Framework 2.0; X86 (KB829019) won't install

Through Windows Update page, the software mentioned above is listed as an
available download. I currently have .NET Framework 1.1 installed, but the
..NET Framework 2.0 will not install. It has downloaded supposedly, but won't
install. Update page gives me install failed.

Did you try going to the .NET Framework page and downloading it directly as
opposed to using WindwsUpdate? Remember there are three versions: 1.0 with
updates, 1.1 with updates, and 2.0

My .NET Framework files somehow got curupted and for months I tried to
download from using WindowsUpdate with no luck. Only after finding "Jerry's"
post / advice I Googled ".NET Framework" and found thier page and directly
downloaded from there. It worked were the WindowsUpdate did not. After
months, I can finally use my "Zune" software again (it needs the 2.0
