I am getting the Windows Update error 643. I have read the information on
this site that tells to uninstall Net Framework and then use the clean up
utility. I found two copies of Net Framework 1.1. One deleted. The other
did not. It tells me that I cannot delete a program which has not been
installed. But Control Panel and the clean up utility both show the program
as installed. I am stuck and cannot get the upgrade because I cannot clean
up the corrupted version. Help!

monitoring this for 6 weeks plus. I refuse to go though the hoops that you
want for your current so called FIX!!!!!!!

My comments were directed to microsoft, not the helpful users and I don't
appreciate your unprofessional comments.

Microsoft isn't managing these newsgroups. Call PSS.

Not to TaurArian? He's not an MS representant but an MVP.

Well, sometimes slapping others leeds to slaps in the own face. Hope it
doesn't hurt too much.

HAND,
Freudi

Start a free Windows Update support incident request:
https://support.microsoft.com/oas/de...spx?gprid=6527

Tip: Temporarily disable real-time protection by your anti-virus and/or
anti-spyware applications (e.g., CounterSpy, Spysweeper, Spybot, AVG
Anti-Spyware) and/or any third-party firewall (e.g., ZA) before attempting
to install the update(s).

If you are asking me when MS is going to make an easy fix, then how would I
know - I don't work for them. They don't tell me anything.

If you wish, please contact MS directly and complain. They won't see your
complaint here on the NG.

You can either do something about your problem or ignore it. It's your
choice in the end.
