I upgraded my Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate, cable connection. HP

error "An error has occurred" "Bitmap Color Contest is not valid. What does
this mean? How can I fix it?

Since HP Total Care Advisor is a HP program I would contact them for
assistance. You could also check their web site for updates or patches for
the program.

Probably that application (Total Care) is coded in whatever language under
..net.
You can try: check HP for updates to TC, installing latest .net framework
updates (3.5 SP1), running in XP compatible or 256 colors.

I am havng the same exact problem with my dv7 that I gave back to HP and Now
I am having the same problem with my new hdx 18!

Cdlsrn did you have any luck fixing this?

HP is telling me to reload my restore software onto the machine again and
this is my second machine for them to offer that solution (dv7 and hdx18)! I
think it isstime to drop HP altogether. But I have hope some one has a
solution to this. thank you for the help...
