.NET Framework service pack fails to install

I have attempted to install .NET Framework SP1 but it fails to install
(several times). Any ideas on how to remove .NET Framework completely so
that I can re-install from the start. Add/Remove programs does not work
(although it says it has)and now my applications fail to run.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I forgot one vital item. The PC is running
Windows 98. Also, I have come to the conclusion that it may be an application
problem as the error I am trying to overcome occurs on another Windows 98 PC.
Namely -

"The .Net Data OLE DB Provider (System.Data.OleDb) requires Microsoft Data
Access Components(MDAC) version 2.6 or later. Version 02.10.3711.9 was found
currently installed."

However, it may be a bug in one of teh .NET Framework components.

When it tells you to dowloadMicrosoft Windows Installer Software Development
Kit (SDK) to get Msizap.exe jus go to this article and use the download link
there just to get the one utility instead of the whole SDK.

Im having the same issue. I downloaded the SDK but when I try to use the
utility thru Start->run->cmd a message pops up that says it can not find
'cmd'. Any ideas?
