.NET Framework SP1 cannot install

Can someone help me out with trying to get >NET Framework SP1 to install.
Windows Update says that it needs to be installed but is always unable to
install properly. Please contact me if you need to request some files from
me such as WindowsUpdate.log or whatever.

I am having that exact problem as well. All other updates download and
install without problems except this one. It is downloaded and ready to
install. The installation attempt starts normally, with initialization
completing OK, but then it fails to install. Looking for an answer on this
one too.

Cody.. the Framework v1.1 SP1 can be a bit flaky at times.

One of the things I've found that it doesn't like is running while other
installations are going on.

You might find it easier to download the SP1 package from the download
center and install it interactively, rather than from Windows Update, but if
you do choose to use Windows Update, install it all by itself, and make sure
nothing else is running on your system.

I downloaded the update and is on my desktop ready to be installed and it
comes up with an error message about 95% of the way through installation.
After that I went to troubleshoot it from a .NET Framework website on
Microsoft and was given instructions on how to unistall .NET Framework and
reinstall it. I think I may have screwed something up around where it first
asks you to open Command Prompt. I did not know what to do and I really
think I screwed it up now.
