.NET Framework SP1; Needed or not?

I've finally got the auto-updates working thanks to Dial-a-Fix. First thing
that happened was about 25 updates were downloaded and all but one installed
sucessfully during runtime. That one was the .NET framework SP1. But since
I have v2.0 of the framework on my system now, the service pack is not
needed, right? Or have I made a mistake by telling autoupdates to not bother
with this SP?

Versions of .NET Framwork are not cumulative - you really need 1.0, 1.1, and
2.0 plus respective updates to have everything covered.
