.NET Framework v.3.5 SP1

Is there ANYWHERE that I can get this downloaded other than the "Official
Microsoft Update" web site?
I'm running Windows XP Media Ctr. Edition 2005 SP-3, and even the
"bootstrapped" option (which shows as a 52MB download) not only "fails" every
time, it takes FOREVER to do even THAT, as I am online with a "dial-up"
connection, and a 56K modem doesn't run much faster that "5KB/sec" on an
exeptionally GOOD day! I'm about to pull my hair out here! HELP!

There are several links on the internet to .NET Framework v.3.5 SP1.

If you put ".NET Framework v.3.5 SP1" without quotes in Google.com Search
box, you get many hits.

Ooopsie! "Carl", I presume, from the web site showing at the bottom of your
reply...I'm rather new (as in YESTERDAY) at the "forums", and so posted
another "plea for help" before realizing you'd posted an answer to THIS ONE!

The "Notify Me..." options only work if one is using the web-based version
of the newsgroups, many people use dedicated newsreaders for the newsgroups,
which may or may not play nice with the web version).
