.net updates faile to install

I downloaded the updates manually and tried running them.
The following is one of the errors I get:


[2004-09-05 01:20:33] move F:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\fusio n.dll
F:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\SHADO W1348\fusion.dll
[2004-09-05 01:20:33] MoveFile failed: error code 183

I tried downloading and installing using Windows Update but although it is
successful in initializing the install, it fails to complete. The error code
shown is 66A.

I can't find any other information on this error code. The initial help
suggests installing again but I have tried that without success three times.

So still at a loss.

Not much help but I'm having the same problem. I show the SP as downloaded
but it won't install.

Hope someone has some insight on this!

someone in the SBS newsgroup just reported having problems installing the
..Net SP3. He went back and reapplied SP2 first, and then SP3 installed fine.

I also am having the Error code 66A problem with the .NET framwork SP1.

Solution! (well, it worked for me):
I reinstalled the .net framework thru
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
, then used Window Update to get the SP...it worked for me. Worth a shot,
anyway. BTW, WU showed me as having already installed .NET, but it was NOT on
the Add/Remove programs applet in control panel. Maybe one of those "phantom"
installations? <shrug>.

That's nice to know. Do you have a link, other than the Updates page
where one might down load it?

It also worked for me. I reinstalled dotnetfix.exe, then installed the SP1 o.k.
