netstat

I cant get netstat to work. I type in netstat -a and the window opens and
closes before I can read it. Its the same with -an, -b, ? and everything else
I try. All malware scans show up neg. Any ideas ?

Since netstat is a command line tool - if you run it from a command line
there is no window to open or close.
If you run it from the Run dialog box on the start menu then it will start a
command prompt run the command and then exit the command prompt as it
should.
So your solution is to run the command from a command line - as in open a
command prompt then run the command and you will see the results etc.

Hi Don,

Click start, type CMD. Right click the entry in the start menu, choose 'run
as administrator'. Run netstat from the command line.

Note that some parameters, like -b, require elevation to complete
successfully, thus the reason for running it in this manner.
