Network Connection not reading

After the installation of MS06-040 and MS05-043 on Windows 2000 Professional
SP4, I was unable to connect to my network. Does any body know any tips to
get the computer back on to my network.

Whatever you do, DO NOT uninstall MS06-040 (KB921883) unless you block
access to ports 137-139 and 445. Please read the Suggested Actions on

You could uninstall MS05-043(KB896423) to see if that resolves the
issue, but it *appears* that KB921883 might be the culprit.
