Network Icon Animation ???

In vista, is there no animation in the Network Icon in the system tray to
indicate traffic as it was in xp? Every time i have to go to
Start->ControlPanel->Network and Sharing center n then click the View
Status... This is a long way... There's also a " Turn on activity animation
". But that did not do any difference to the icon !

I have been seeing a lot of this.... do you use a dialip modem? If so search
around in modem properties and settings from Control Panel.

Ya, Im on dial up n there's nothing in MODEM OPTIONS that can solve this. Is
it that MS has disabled it?

To be honest I am not sure... can't check because I have no phone line
here....
It does seem all that complain of problem are on dialup.

Reading the reviews it either works great or doesn't work at all.
Works fine for me, and yes you don't have to use the 3D view
