I am running a wireless network through a router that is set to access point
only and i have recently noticed that I now hace two network locations
listed in the network sharing centre.

The first is an unidentified network and a home network, both of these are
linked to the home network.

You want to check the settings for the 'workgroup' name on each of the LAN
members. In Vista, control panel, System, "Advanced system setting",
Computer Name tab.

The router wireless setup will probably have a way to set an "SSID" for the
router. It is probably blank at the moment.
