New computer constantly installs updates

This is a very general question and I’m not after any technical answer I’m
just a bit worried.

The last 3 times I’ve started up a brand new computer, and upgraded it to
Vista it has had hundreds of updates but each time I update it will say there
is more.

I’m not sure if this has something to do with not in using the second
install disk? However it never asked me for it.

I’m just checking that this is normal when setting up a new computer.

However while writing this I just came across to errors when downloading
updates. I think one was D59 and I’m not sure then name of the other one but
when I clicked for more info it said it was related to not being able to
connect to the internet. (Bit confusing as there is a connection).

I have got passed the error, I logged on as administator and made some
changes in SQl Server Configuration Manager. and it worked fine.

Still updates after this.
