If your intention is to take that HD as used in the other computer, install
it in the new, start it up and expect to have Vista ready for use, it is
unlikely to be that simple.
First, the technical issues:
The new computer will likely require different drivers for the hardware of
the new machine. All the correct drivers might be available from Vista. If
so, the different drivers will install automatically. Probably, a few
reboots might be necessary to complete the process. You should then check
device manager for missing drivers and get them from the hardware or
computer maker's web site. There is still no guarantee that the system will
be stable in the long term. Better to make sure you have a source for all
the drivers, wipe the HD and install new to a clean drive. (Back up your
user files first.)
The legalities:
If your version is OEM (likely if it came pre-installed on the box), it can
only be used on that box. If it is retail, you can install it on the new box
as long as you do not use it on any other box.
Note that I am not a lawyer. Due diligence requires that you assure yourself
by all reasonable means that what you intend to do is within your rights
under the license.
Good luck.
