new to computers need help(making back ups)

i bought a computer in taiwan and it has a free installed window vista home
and has no back up cd how can i make a back up cd of my window vista in case
of whatever accident happens to the hard drive. Another is that i had read
that i can change the langauge interface from chinese to english,how can i
make that happen.

Most computers are sold either with recovery disks, or an application that
will burn such disks for you. Perhaps if you tell us what computer make and
model you have purchased, somebody may be able to give you a specific
answer.

You would need an english MUI pack, but those are available for Vista
Ultimate only. I am afraid you will have to upgrade in order to get this
feature.

Perhaps the most valuable piece of software that you will ever buy is an
imager.
This backs up the entire partition - your files, settings, and operating
system.
