hey all
hope that someone can help me wit this.
i have got a P4 2.7 Ghz pc with 1gb ram & a geforce 8400gs running vista
ultimate
i have been running on a score of 3.8 on the rating index.
however, i got a new processor & since i installed it, i have not been able
to complete a new assesment.
it was suggested to me by someone to reinstall windows as this should cure
the problem, however it has not, now i have a completely unrated system & i
cannot use the aero theme.
the latest winsat i have is:
6697562 (4720) - winsat\main.cpp:2295: --- START 2007\10\8 23:52:09 ---
6697890 (4720) - winsat\main.cpp:1995: > DWM not running.
6697906 (4720) - winsat\main.cpp:2051: > EMD device detected to be on. EMD
will be restored on exit.
6697937 (4720) - mlib\syspowertools.cpp:0872: > Read the active power scheme
as '8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c'
6697953 (4720) - winsat\main.cpp:2108: > power policy saved.
6698953 (4720) - mlib\syspowertools.cpp:0904: > Set the active power scheme
to 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c'
6698984 (4720) - winsat\main.cpp:2120: > power policy set to maximum.
6709734 (4720) - mlib\syspowertools.cpp:0904: > Set the active power scheme
to 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c'
6709765 (4720) - winsat\main.cpp:2155: > Power state restored.
6709781 (4720) - winsat\main.cpp:2171: > Successfully reenabled EMD.
6709812 (4720) - winsat\main.cpp:3216: > exit value = 1.

& through command prompt:

C:\>winsat formal
Windows System Assessment Tool
> Command Line 'winsat formal'
> Running the Formal Assessment
> DWM not running
> System processor power policy saved and set to 'max performance'

Error: Cannot Measure Time Stamp Counter (TSC) Frequency
> The System processor power policy was restored

i am wondering if anyone else has had this & if so know of a way to resolve
this.

kind regards
mo

The Windows Experience Index rating may inherit an incorrect value
after you make a change to your computer's hardware configuration:
