Hello,
this problem appeared just a few days ago.
When I connecd new hardware, such as a dv-camera or USB-sticks, windows says
that new hardware is found and asks me if I want to install the drivers. When
I choose to install the drivers, a smaller window down by the clock says that
a searth at windows update for the drivers is being done, but then, after a
couple of seconds, a bigger window which says that no driver was found
appears. This window also asks for a CD or a media with the drivers, which
does not exist for things like my dv-camera or usb-sticks.

How do I solve this problem? It worked without any problems until a couple
of days ago. My OS is Vista Business

Hi there,

You probably took in a driver from Windows Update which is not a good idea.

Drivers if they are REALLY needed to be updated because the hardware is not
working well should only be taken from the manufacturers website.

You can try rolling back on the driver of the hardware that has the problem
or use system restore in safe mode and restore to a date before the problem
occured.

Good Luck and best regards,
Michel Denie
