Greetings,
You can transfer your account from one e-mail address to another (retaining your contact
list, other Windows Live ID associations, etc.) here:
https://account.live.com/ChangeId.aspx
This is assuming you're not using a @hotmail or @msn e-mail address. If you are using one of
the forementioned addresses, you will need to completely close your account and make a new
one, or if you just want to do that anyway, go to the following link:
https://account.live.com/CloseAccount.aspx
If you're wanting to move your contact list from an old account to a new one, log into the
old one before closing it, open up the main Messenger window, press the Alt key on the
keyboard to bring up the menubar, choose the Contacts menu and then use the Save instant
messaging contacts option to save your contact list and then log into the new account then
use the Import instant message contacts option.
