Separate "Identities" are only accomplished by setting up separate PC users
and logging on to the PC as one or the other.
If you mean that you have multiple email addresses, you can select which you
are sending from by clicking in the "From" box (on the drop-down arrow at
the end, or, by double-clicking anywhere in the box) and selecting the
appropriate account.
