i have recently bought a Toshiba L500 (Australian model) and played for
awhile and have realised the number 1 keys is hard to push, so when i
press it down mutiple 11111111111111111111 appear and becomes stuck and
when i un-jig it, it stops and pushing down is harder than the
surrounding numeric numbers so it definitely indicates something is
wrong. (top row of numbers)

can it be fixed at a service center or go back and get a new 1, or are
there other options?

Why haven't you contacted Toshiba support on this?

Best would be to go back to Toshiba. But if you want to venture into th
repair yourself, here are some instructions: 'How to Replace a Keyboar
Key on a Toshiba Satellite P15 - MachinaElectronics.com
