i am running vista home premium. I had a c and d partition on the
same drive. I shrunk C by 50GB and formated with ntfs and named it
Z.
It seemed fine then I rebotted and it doesnt show up in Computer.
In Computer the C drive shows smaller by 50GB but not Z drive.
When I got to Disk Management, the top panel shows C with a reduced
size. The panel below which shows usage has C partition at its
original size before I created the Z drive.
Any ideas?
Help much appreciated! thx

What did you use to shrink your partition? Create your new partition?
Format your Partition?

I used Vistas Disk Management services. Everything was done through
the console. Shrink, then simple volume then format ntfs and assign
letter Z.
