NOTE: Since you chose to use WLM version 15 to post to newsgroups and
because version 15 no longer provides proper indentation and prefixing
of quoted content, and because you chose not to provide the proper
attribution lines and indented quoting, I have snipped everything except
your last reply. I'm not going to fix all the screwups in WLM v15.
You'll want to find a better newsreader since Microsoft has scrambled
away from Usenet and WLM no longer properly supports quoting of parent
content in a newgroup reply.

What are the tab settings in IE8?
What security software did you install (anti-virus, anti-malware,
anti-whatever, 3rd party firewall, HIPS, policy enforcement,
virtualization, etc)? It's possible you configured IE8 to open new tabs
in a new window but, for example, a popup blocker is preventing opening
a new window from a prior IE8 window.
As to uninstalling and reinstalling IE8:
Haven't a clue what is your version of Windows since you didn't mention
that detail. You cannot uninstall the base version of IE that came with
Windows. Windows XP came with IE6 as the base version, Vista came with
IE7, and 7 came with IE7. That means you cannot uninstall the base
version because it won't be listed in the Add/Remove Programs applet.
However, since you are asking about uninstalling IE8 then perhaps you
installed it as an upgrade to IE6 or IE7. If IE8 was an upgrade then it
will be listed in the Add/Remove Programs applet (in Control Panel).
