Helo, I did an update two days ago and since then I have my pc that reboot
regularly. It is extremely annoying and I am loosing precious data because
of that. I did not download anything else from the web. I suspect that
this Malicious removal sofware tool could be the culprit. I want to remove
it. I do not want this software. Microsoft said it is not necessary to
remove it but I beg to differ, as it is my pc I want what I want on my pc,
it is not for any software company to decide.
Could someone suggest a wat to remove that software? Also, are other
people got the same problem following the last Windows Update?

Thank you
Daniel

How did you prepare your computer before going for the updates?

That's why. You need to do a clean up and defrag first. You need to
disable your anti virus before installing the updates. You should close
any programs and only do the updates until they're finished and you've
rebooted. With IE7 it's even more complicated.

I updated the feb07 updates today, after reboot my screen was flickering
black once. I have a W2000 very clean stable system, so I was looking for the
reason and found that after the updates at least 10 services didn't start
(and IE errors)..... This is amazing, I don't see any official statement
about this but it looks not personal to me... So I de-installed all hotfixes,
everything ok again. Now I have another 100 PC's where I'm worrying about....
So yes, definitely same kind of problem. Hope MS will come soon with some
report.

Wow! This is the first time I hear that I have to do what you are
suggesting. Why is it that Microsoft is not saying so? In the mean time
how do I uninstall the recently install update? I am still with IE
6.0.2900.2180

Thanks

Control Panel/ Add Remove Programs / Tick Show Updates (top right of the
Window) / Scroll down and look for the dates and uninstall the Feb.
updates. Then do what I say below and go for the updates at the Windows
Update site, open IE6 / Tools/ Windows Update.

I wouldn't recommend installing IE7 until you read this first:
